Located in the heart of the city, the congress centre “Pierre Baudis” is 20 minutes away both from the main train station and from the airport. The “Compans-Caffarelli” bus stop in front of the conference center is also connected to the subway (B-line). The conference center is indicated by a pink marker in the map below.
Toulouse can easily be reached by plane: The airport Toulouse-Blagnac (TLS) is the 5th largest airport in France with over 6.5 million passengers per year. There are flights from 87 destinations serving 73 cities abroad.
The “Flybus” shuttle bus service connects the airport to the city centre, even during weekends. The bus stops near the conference Centre, at the “Compans-Caffarelli” bus station. Alternatively, a tram (line T2) connects the airport to the city centre (stops are “Palais de Justice“ and “Arènes“). The tram line runs every 15 min from 5:30 to 23:30, 7/7.

Toulouse has direct motorway connections to the main capitals of Northern and Southern Europe: A61 (Carcassonne, Montpellier, Barcelone), A62 (Bordeaux, Paris, Montauban, Agen, Limoges), A64 (Tarbes, Lourdes, Bayonne, San Sebastian, Foix), A66 (Pamiers, Foix, Andorra) / A68 (Lyon, Lavaur, Albi).

Toulouse metropolitan transport operates throughout the week from Monday to Sunday, with a dense network of buses, tramways and two subway lines. You can buy tickets from “Tisséo” agencies, in subway stations, or directly in the bus. The tickets are valid for use on the whole network. On weekends, the subway operates up to 3 am (Saturdays and Sundays).
A fun and easy way to discover Toulouse is to use the VeloToulouse city bike system. There are 283 bike stations all around the city. You can register directly with your credit card at any bike station or online (a deposit of 150€ is requested). Subscription charge is 1.20€ for a day and 5€ for a week.
Toulouse also has a city car rental system proposed by citiz. Cars are parked in dedicated stations (citiz) or anywhere in the city (yea). Car rental rates are based on time and kilometers.
The city centre offers a number of car parks along with private hotel parking and outdoor parking meter spaces. Free parking zones can be found around residential areas as well as subway and bus terminals (you’ll need a validated ticket needed to exit the parking).
